David Lee’s most recent project is nothing short of cinematic. In true Hollywood fashion, he has produced a high-concept commercial for his newest venture—Larchmont Jewelers—and it’s not just airing online or on social media. It’s premiering on the big screen.
Starting May 23rd, the commercial will run for three months before summer blockbusters at AMC Theatres, beginning with Mission: Impossible 8 starring Tom Cruise. It will be shown at AMC The Grove in Beverly Hills, in all premium formats—from IMAX to Dolby Digital. This isn’t your average jewelry ad—it’s a full-blown cinematic experience.
Directed by Pranav Bhojwani, known for the film Night Shift, the commercial is a stylish homage to the spy genre. It follows a suave, Bond-like figure as he steps into Larchmont Jewelers in search of his next "gadgets"—only instead of tech, he finds high-end timepieces and exquisite jewelry. The tone is sleek, suspenseful, and elevated, matching the sophistication of the store itself.
Bhojwani made a deliberate artistic choice to shoot on the ARRI ALEXA 65, the same large-format camera system used for Dune: Part Two, The Revenant, and Barbie. For him, the decision was about more than image quality. As he put it, “I wanted the royalty of large format to match the royalty of Larchmont Jewelers.” The camera’s immersive depth and cinematic richness were designed to mirror the elegance and prestige of the space.
The commercial also proudly features timepieces from some of the world’s top luxury brands, including Hublot and Breitling, both of whom supported the production. Their involvement elevated the campaign, aligning the cinematic narrative with the elite offerings housed inside Larchmont Jewelers.
Most jewelry companies don’t even produce their own commercials—David Lee not only created one, but executed it with Hollywood-level vision and precision. This commercial is a bold statement: Larchmont Jewelers isn’t just a store—it’s a story, an experience, and a brand rewriting the rules of luxury retail.
As always, David Lee is acting ahead of the curve—where others see a store, he sees a stage. Where others follow, he builds.
